Mr. Martinon Goes to LA

Former Elysée spokesman David Martinon has just been named as French Consul in Los Angeles. Hey, nice job!

So, it looks like sunnier days ahead, both literally and figuratively, for him.

It's been blustery here, literally and figuratively, I guess.

I wouldn't mind a dose of warm sunshine myself.

Oh dear, I hear you loud and clear! When will it end? The summer is forecast to be wet and mild too... am escaping to Venice soon but not sure it's any better there! I hope it's ok if I add you to my blog list Polly?

Hi Marianne,
The rest of the planet was warmer than usual this past year; not us here. Just another thing that makes Paris so special!

Of course add me to you blog list! I'm in the process of updating mine -- or will be when I have a moment. I love your blog!

I tell all my friends--you don't go to Paris for the weather. But when living there, one does have days when you would trade some of the city's delights for a day of sun.
