Forget the peanut-butter Ritz-bits and apple juice, the soggy tuna sandwiches on white bread.Those who donate blood in Paris today will be treated to a meal prepared by Laurent Delarbre, Executive Chef at the Café de la Paix.
The blood drive, being organized by the Etablissement français du sang, takes place today from noon until 6 pm, on the plaza between the Tour Montparnasse and the Gare Montparnasse. The collecte du sang will continue through April 26, though the fine cuisine from Café de la Paix might not.
The tent may not be as plush as the decor at the Café de la Paix, but the cause is worthwhile.

In the UK you get - guess what - a cup of tea. And, I believe, a biscuit.
Even in France you don't have anytime a chef preparing a meal after donating blood...
but you could have some wine most of the time...
