1. Go to your favorite spot in Paris.
2. Get out your digital camera or cell-phone that shoots with sound. Roll the cameras!
3. Say "Welcome to Paris" in your native tongue.
4. Take shots of what is around you.
5. Maximum length of your masterpiece should be 10 seconds.
6. Email masterpiece to theparisproject@letthemtalk.com
Then go shopping for an outfit to wear to next year's Academy Awards.
The Paris Project will assemble all the short shots into a longer video for the public. It is a non-commercial project, just for fun.
An equal-enjoyment opportunity, provided you have the film editing skills and/or a good stopwatch. Sounds like a plan to me.

A homemade version of "Paris, je t'aime!"? Sounds like fun.
Sorry, I can't participate...unless I drive to Paris, Texas ;-)
WOW!
I was just dropping by to check out my Stumble question, and I thought I had made a mistake...it's a new look!! Fabulous!! AND....comments!
I have to go and poke around more...
Meilleurs voeux!!
Polly,
I've been reading your wonderful blog for awhile now, and I'm so excited to be able to add comments! I'm a Boston-born, Cambridge-bred lover of Paris myself, hoping to move back to France sometime within a year or so, and your blog has been a daily inspiration. Thanks so much!
Thanks for the comments! This is new so bear with me.
hey Isabella: They didn't specify "which" Paris -- maybe you could give Paris TX a try! Gee, maybe Paris Hilton will do a 10-second spot, too.
BV- Bienvenue a bord!
Kara - To me, Paris is like the beautiful woman in the shampoo commercial. Expensive, but she says, "frankly I'm worth it."
Hi Polly
I'm the organiser of The Paris Project. Thanks for the mention. We'd love to receive more videos in fact in order to encourage submissions anyone who takes part will get entered into a prize draw. I'll reveal more when I get round to updating the website.
How fun!!I'm gonna do it!
Comments! You have comments!! Hooray!
Bonne Année, Polly! I've been using Blogger for several years and I've had very few problems. I'm glad to see that you now have comments.
I'm SO glad to have comments!
I'm looking forward to the results of this Paris Project. I can't decide where my "favorite spot" in Paris is. My first thought was riding the bus, or at the Marche aux Puces at Vanves, or on top of the Tour Montparnasse. If I get really technologically savvy I'll post the video on the blog.
