He's Just Not That Into You: VF

Apparently Liz Tuccillo, author of He's Just Not that Into You, had a tough time doing the cultural translation of her best-selling book in France.

So she travelled to Paris to interview women of all ages here about why her pearls of wisdom fell on deaf ears in the City of Light. Of course, one would assume that a woman who wrote for Sex and the City would have some sort of leg-up -- even among Parisiennes -- when discussing the vagaries of dating and relationship challenges.

Au contraire.

Her take? "If I could, I would have an operation to become a French woman."

Check out her eye-opening videos here.

The adaptation of the book's title says it all: the American He's Not That Into You became Let It Go, He Doesn't Deserve You in France. Those sound like two different books!

Jonnifer -- spot-on!

Isabelle, I loved the videos too. She didn't ask questions with pre-determined answers. It says a lot about the difference between France and the US socially.

Anne -- glad you like the new header.

BTW Is the movie a documentary or did they turn it into a fictional account?

Hi Vicky and Felipe,

Sorry if I missed your email. I have received well over a hundred -- I lost count -- and it's been a bit crazy, trying to keep track of everything.

I'll go back to my inbox and scour and read.

Simon Says,
I look forward to reading all about it! Thanks!

Good luck with your move. Sorry you have to leave.
