Le slip. I've always loved the word in French, one of those great faux-amis. And it has (almost) nothing to do with sleep, though it's pronounced that way: le sleep.

My boys wouldn't be seen dead in a slip. They wear trendy Freegun boxers with their crazy designs and wide waistband that shows above the sagging jeans. :)
My French wife-to-be had me get rid of all of my American white undies. She said "that is what grandfathers wear".
