Then after all that walking, it's time to take a rest.
I love the benches and other seats in Paris. The chairs scattered in the Tuileries or the Jardin du Luxembourg. And the benches just about everywhere.
Some favorites:
Sunday in the garden of the Jardin des Plantes in the 5e
Square Ozanam in the 6e
Les jardins des Serres d'Auteuil in the 16e
In Paris, anyway.
what a great post!
ReplyDeleteYou can tell those benches aren't in America. No two ton lard-ass eating a fried twinkie on a stick, a homeless guy sleeping or a skater punk spray painting his misspelled name on it.
ReplyDeletequite frankly my lard ass fits just fine on those benches, and last time I was in Paris I had to shoo away a few skater punks from the benches and tell them to go "relieve" themselves somewhere more appropriate. I love Paris more than I can say, but America doesnt hold the patent on annoyances.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite chairs in Paris are those green ones that slant really far down. You just have to sit longer.
