Eiffel Tower for Sale

What?  Of course it's not the Eiffel Tower.  Though a piece of that did get sold at auction last month.

No, this Eiffel is 40 inches tall (48 including the flag), a cool wire sculpture.  There just won't be room for it in the storage containers;  and I'm downsizing anyway.

It's funny, when I was living in Paris I didn't have Eiffel-Tower objets or posters around the apartment, because I had the real razzle-dazzle deal in my arrondissement.

I'm reluctant to part with this, but practicality is outweighing sentiment this week!

What price tag should I put on it?

$8000.
Call it a digital antenna that only gets French porn.
Have you announced where you are moving?

I have an Eiffel Tower lamp in this very room at this very moment.

Brilliant idea Mr Sixty! I hope the consignment store guy buys that story.

I have not announced where I am going because I, um, um, am not quite sure. 'Oh, but aren't you moving next week,' you ask? Why, yes! Such is the nomadic, adventurous, oh-so-glamourous life I shall be leading.

So I'm not saying exactly where, not yet. But it will be on a coast.

Starman-- in Paris, I didn't see any Eiffel Tower lamps. But there was one chic boutique in the 7e that sold gold-plated rifle lamps!!

Oh, consignments are best. "Age" a napkin and stuff it in the very top with a graphic drawing signed by Pierre Eiffel.

BTW: you know we have our dining room as a "bistro" and guest bath as "toilette?" (complete with Chat soap)

We have Paris stuff all over the place!

And of course, your unwillingness to share fits right in with your job as a spy... I should not have asked.

How much do spy jobs pay? I'll consider it, as long as I don't have to drink martinis.

Moi, I wouldn't give it up. I'd find a way to take it apart into two sections or just get a bigger storage container. Don't you know someone with a tall attic?

I just bought one just like it in a thrift shop in Philadelphia. It costs $8.00.

I've got one myself but without a flag and its colour is the "real" Eiffel Tower's brown.

I would have said about $20 but then, I may be too patriotic!
